Amazingly this is the Canadian Prog masters' seventeenth album. In a career starting all those years back in 1978 the SAGA pedigree is unmatched and even more miraculous is that this incarnation of the band features the classic line up albeit without drummer Steve Negus. Therefore glorious melodies, grand sweeping songs and superb interplay dominate throughout. They may be as old as the proverbial hills but SAGA keep coming up with fresh, up to date Prog songs that belies their almost pensionable years.

Opener ''That's As Far As I'll Go'' is a great pomp Rocker in the STYX mould. The sound is crisp the melodic vocals classy the guitar work refined and the keyboards punchy when they ought to be. The rigorous Prog workout of the excellent ''Back To The Shadows'' stretches the band whilst the RUSH/ GENESIS/FLOYD reverberations of ''I'M OK'' is strictly classic SAGA. Other stand outs tracks include the tricky time changes of ''Trust'' and the light hearted yet compulsive ''Footsteps In The Hall''.

Easily one of the bands strongest offerings to date SAGA continue to explore the Prog universe and uniquely doing it like no others. (Online July 2, 2006)

Das hier ist verblüffenderweise das siebzehnte Album der kanadischen Prog-Meister. In einer Karriere, die vor so vielen Jahren 1978 begann, ist SAGA's Gesamtwerk unerreicht, und noch wunderlicher ist, dass diese Inkarnation der Band aus der klassischen Besetzung, jedoch ohne Drummer Steve Negus, besteht. Daher dominieren durchweg glorreiche Melodien, große, weitläufige Songs und superbes Zusammenspiel. Sie mögen so alt wie die Berge sein, aber SAGA kommen immer noch mit frischen, zeitgemäßen Prog-Songs daher, die ihr (Fast-)Rentenalter Lügen strafen.

Der Opener "That's As Far As I'll Go" ist ein großartiger, pompöser Rocker im Stile von STYX. Der Sound ist knusprig, der melodische Gesang klasse, die Gitarrenarbeit ausgereift und die Keyboards druckvoll, wenn sie es sein sollten. Die rigorose Prog-Arbeit des exzellenten „Back To The Shadows" fordert die Band, während der RUSH/GENESIS/FLOYD-Beiklang von "I'm OK" streng nach klassischen SAGA klingt. Zu den weiteren herausragenden Tracks gehören die verzwickten Tempowechsel von „Trust" und das heitere, aber mitreißende „Footsteps In The Hall".
