Trust

In the early '80s, while still in high school I heard two songs that made my ears perk up and take notice ("On the Loose" and "Wind Him Up" for the classic World's Apart) on The Loop (FM 98, Where Chicago Rocks) by a new group called Saga. I loved the group's tight, manic keyboard and hyper guitar driven sound and Michael Sadler's sharp and potent vocals. Then life happened, and I forgot about Saga.
Fast forward to 2006 and low and behold Saga is releasing its 17th project, a great jumping on point for those (like me!) who may have missed out on the saga of Saga. Saga's latest effort Trust is a tour-de-force of tight musicianship, powerful vocals and memorable rocking mini-epics. Saga is expert at creating fastball, bombastic arena rock with a dramatic symphonic flair and progressive rock touches. Think an updated sounding Styx with a bit more caffeine. Trust is an album that will have you scrambling for the repeat button on the CD player to enjoy these catchy and rocking tunes again and again. Unlike so many bands that are hollow shadows of former glories, Saga has just gotten better over the years!
